Hi, My name is Chris browning, I have lived in Australia for over forty years S.A. And now Tasmania. Born in 1945 I lived all my youth at 28,Buckland Road Leyton. My Parents were Sophie and Fred Sowray (step dad) my birth Father was Jim Browning. I attended Newport Road school 1950 -1956 then George michell till 1960. Fond memories of Leyton will stay with me for all time, swimming pool/baths now I believe Tesco's,Manzes pie & mash shop At Bakers Arms closed in the 60's (2 pies were the go) The Blue row in Leyton High road was a great little shopping area,Cock Robins stall was a Wonder to me as a young child,Skippers butchers,Fields drapery,Harmans Fish shop ,to name a few. Anyhow if anyone remembers me or my family I would love to hear their comments . My paternal grandmother was Mary Mudd of Lindley road, maternal was Jane painter Park road.

Congratulations on the expansion of the Walthamstow Memories site to include other areas of Waltham Forest.
